Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation
Provided at Staten Island, Glen Cove, and Phelps Hospitals, acute rehabilitation is designed for individuals who need frequent physician monitoring, 24-hour nursing and intensive physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy to maximize recovery. Center for Emergency Medical Services

Home Care
Northwell Health At Home provides a scope of home care services for all patients, from infants to the elderly. Services may include: nursing, physical and occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, wound and skin specialist, infusion services, social work, and home health aides. Services may be covered through Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care insurance plans. Private pay home aide services are also available. Hospice
For those with advanced illness, Northwell Health At Home Hospice Services provides compassionate and expert care directed to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life for patients. A team of nurses, social workers, home health aides, chaplains, dietitians, and volunteers is available to assist the patient and family. A hospice physician is also available for consultation and home visits. Medication, equipment, and supplies are provided. Nurses are available 24/7 to respond to questions and concerns. Laboratories
Northwell Health Laboratories is the leading health system laboratory provider in the New York area offering a comprehensive testing menu. We provide laboratory testing for hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and ambulatory locations; this enables your health care provider to have seamless access to your test results. Outpatient Rehabilitation
The Northwell Health Outpatient Rehabilitation Network provides comprehensive services at 21 easy-to-access locations throughout Long Island, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, and Westchester. Our fully equipped facilities are staffed by licensed therapists experienced in the latest rehabilitation techniques. Our services include, but are not limited to, joint replacement therapy, neurological and stroke rehabilitation, sports therapy, spine care, pain management, brain injury rehabilitation, lymphedema therapy, oncology rehabilitation, women’s health, and vestibular and balance rehabilitation. Subacute Inpatient Rehabilitation
Provided at the Stern Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation on the North Shore University Hospital campus in Manhasset and the Orzac Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation on the campus of Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, subacute rehabilitation is for patients who need a less intense, less medically supervised rehabilitation environment. Services include: up to seven-day-a-week physical, occupational, and speech pathology as clinically indicated, restorative nursing, wound care, social work, and nutritional counseling. The subacute length of stay lasts until the patient is ready to return home or to a long-term setting. Subacute rehabilitation is often followed by home care or outpatient rehabilitation.
